Marches Energy Agency thanks you for attending the

Green Light event - thanks to all our sponsors-

and for making it a great success!

A good day!

The days training enabled energy managers, transport professionals, representatives from local government, academia, NGOs, the DTI and other public and private bodies gain a good insight into the pros and cons of the Alternative Fuel and Vehicle options, and the means of their implementation. The delegates were equipped in the day's training to be able to deal more effectively with fleet managers, contracted fleet operators and other key actors, to reduce energy use in transport within their region.

Councillor Les Kyles, chairman of the West Midlands Planning & Transport Sub-Committee, said: "This is a tremendous initiative, and one which the West Midlands is proud to host."

The Green Light Motor Show

Thanks to the support of our sponsors, GreenFleet and Modec, we were able to put on the Green Light Motor Show, running parallel to the training for a few hours over lunchtime. The Green Light Motor Show displayed an array of Electric passenger and utility vehicles, Biofuelled-vehicles, Hybrid vehicles which attendees were able to test-drive and experience around Aston Business Park area. On display were vehicles from Modec, the LPG Association, Honda, Daimler Chrysler, Aixam-Mega, Organic Power and Blooming Futures. The vehicles gained much interest from the delegates and also from surrounding businesses in Aston Science Park, Advantage West Midlands staff, and Aston University students.

The exhibition also drew significant interest from the press. It was broadcast on 3 separate radio stations, and gained good paper press coverage.
