Professional Interests: Sustainable living from all angles, communication, education and finding new ways to enthuse people.

Qualifications: BSc Environmental Science

Skills: communication, presenting information in colourful and creative ways, report writing and data analysis (although I'm trying hard to forget that last bit!).

Where I've come from: Shrewsbury!

I like: food, cooking for other people, gardening, having a laugh, the country, most living things (I'm not too keen on broad beans) and my job.

A moral I live my life by: Life is what you make it and where you take it. Make it fun and take it wherever you can.

How I'm trying to live more sustainably: I shop locally from the town market and make as much as I can from fresh produce rather than buying pre-processed food. I also grow some of my own veg and aspire to do a lot more of this! I've got low energy bulbs and aim to have a whole low energy/ energy generating house one day. I have a lot of jumpers and fingerless gloves and some very thick socks.

I believe the greatest threat to our current society and environment is... complacency and a lack of vision.

My 'dirty secret': I sometimes turn up the heating without going through the fingerless gloves stage first.

It may surprise you to know but... I'm quite a fan of ballroom dancing.

If things had turned out differently I might have been... a ballerina
