sarah meredith . . .
Sarah Meredith is a project manager for Carbon Forum. New to the team in 2007, Sarah is currently developing a mobile exhibition unit which will enable MEA to deliver information about sustainable energy and carbon reduction for individuals, the voluntary and community sector, the public sector and commercial settings. After a varied career on the railway, Sarah recently managed a project for Museum on the Move, developing a new vehicle for them for 2008 on a Climate Change theme. She particularly enjoys the organising and problem solving aspects of her role. Sarah's outside interests include volunteering as a Forest Schools helper at a local primary school and visiting the theatre, cinema and museums.
Professional Interests: Developing exhibition and educational vehicles Qualifications: BSc Psychology, Diploma in Administrative Management. After a varied career on the railway I managed a project for Museum on the Move Skills: Organising things, problem solving Where I've come from: Shropshire, with ‘odd' years in Devon and Cheshire I like: Theatre, cinema, museums, trees, the sea and chocolate A moral I live my life by: Be honest, most of all with yourself How I'm trying to live more sustainably: Using environmentally friendly products, walking or using public transport whenever I can. I try to buy local products, especially local food, use fewer chemicals, compost, reduce, reuse and recycle. I believe the greatest threat to our current society and environment is the overwhelming desire so many people have for the biggest, newest etc. we need to learn the art of contentment My 'dirty secret' (nothing lewd or personal here please - from a sustainability point of view only!): I love shopping! Doing my best to be responsible and window shop more. It may surprise you to know but . . . are so many things I just don't know where to begin ... If things had turned out differently I might have been . . . A train driver! |

Sarah's main aim is to provide the first step for many on the journey to environmental sustainability and a low carbon lifestyle with Carbon Stalls.
