Community Support

The Community Climate Connectors (CCC) initiative, funded by Invest in Shropshire UKSPF, helps build capacity across Shropshire by empowering community volunteers to support residents to keep warm, save energy and cut carbon emissions.

We also provide free training in energy efficiency for community groups, delivered by our expert in-house Energy Advisors. Training includes how to:

  • Carry out home visits to give basic energy efficiency advice to householders
  • Signpost householders to grant-funded programmes
  • Use our HEAT app to analyse energy consumption by appliances in the home
  • Use thermal imaging cameras (subject to availability)
  • Fit low-cost measures such as LED bulbs, draught excluders, radiator reflectors and letterbox covers or supply these items for distribution in your community

We can also provide:

  • Admin and marketing support.
  • Help with climate and energy-related events.
  • Community energy feasibility studies.

If you’d like to get involved or find out more, email [email protected] or call 0800 677 1307 (option 5).
